Born and raised in the coastal South African city of Port Elizabeth, Simon Allan grew up with electricity in his blood. His father was an electrical contractor, and Simon's fascination with all things electric began before he could walk.

After trade school, Simon spent nearly a decade as an electrician and engineer on mega-yachts sailing across Europe — solving complex electrical problems in the most demanding environments imaginable. That experience shaped the precision and uncompromising quality Allied Energy is known for today.

In 2005, he settled in San Diego and founded Allied Energy. What started as an electrical contracting business naturally grew into solar, and then battery storage — always at the forefront of the industry, always committed to the highest standard.
